Men like that, right?

I’m gonna keep this one short because I’m tired. I’m always tired. They start construction on the shop at the bottom of my building at 7am. I’m homicidal.

This week was walks to nature parks, meeting with a potential supervisor, comedy club night, making an ugly axolotyl, and visiting Julian’s childhood home and finally meeting his dad.

The axolotyl actually isn’t that bad. Just don’t look at the box next to it.

I’m writing this from Julian’s balcony (I’m here for the weekend at his childhood home, outside of Meinhattan). I’m drinking peppermint tea from a mug adorned with many cats. They are very cute. Last night I made some bomb ass mashed potatoes and we watched lord of the rings. The night before, we went to the kino and saw ‘Verity’. I love Dakota Johnson’s bangs but her acting is so ass. Also, that’s on me— I don’t know why I expected a Colleen Hoover adaptation to be actually good.

We played exploding kittens, kniffel (yahtzee), and pictionary with Julian’s dad. Us not being able to speak the same language is actually helpful—I can say whatever I want and have Julian edit me to sound better in the final cut. I also think it helped that I kept winning all of the games. Men like that, right?

During the week I was an academic weapon (lowkey starting to get a lot of work) and still managed to go to a comedy show hosted by a somewhat funny German guy and a not-so-funny Irish lady. My new buddies and I went for drinks and I was dismayed by this country’s lack of ciders. My new buddies want me to play Padel with them sometime this week. Padel is not dissimilar to Squash, which goes to show you how little they know about my athletic abilities. Or they’re just sadists.

I’m starting to get pretty stressed about my thesis. One year is not a very long time.

In other news, my acne sucks.

Also, no one tell him, but I miss Julian everyday. :/

Over and out.
